The [LIMITED] Series was never designed to be the quietest can on the market. It was designed for one thing: Unrivaled Shot Control. Every model in the lineup shares the same DNA — seven patent-pending technologies that manage gas more efficiently, cut recoil, and hold performance without piling on bulk — but the [LIMITED 6.5], [LIMITED 7], and [LIMITED 30] are tuned for different calibers and different jobs in the field. Here's how they stack up, and how to figure out which one belongs on your rifle.

All three ship with a protective sleeve and a TENET wrench, and all three run through the same five-stage coating process — deep ultrasonic cleaning, metallurgical interior conditioning, a self-cleaning carbon-shedding interior coating, a diamond-hard exterior finish, and anti-seize thread protection — so cleaning and corrosion resistance aren't a differentiator here. The differences that actually matter come down to caliber, weight, and how you plan to use the rifle.

[LIMITED 6.5]: The Featherweight

At 6.7 ounces and just 4.9 inches, the [LIMITED 6.5] is the lightest and shortest suppressor in the series — and it's the most affordable at $1,099.99. It's built and tested around 6.5 Creedmoor, metering 128 dB on a 20" barrel with 140gr Sierra Gold Medal Match ammunition.

If your priority is keeping a long-range hunting rig as short and nose-light as possible — backcountry hunts, long carries, mountain rifles where every ounce on the muzzle end matters — this is the one built for that job.

Choose the [LIMITED 6.5] if:

  • You're running 6.5 Creedmoor (or a compatible short-action cartridge within barrel spec)
  • Minimum weight and length at the muzzle are non-negotiable
  • You want the lowest price of entry into the [LIMITED] Series

[LIMITED 7]: The Middle Ground

The [LIMITED 7] steps up slightly to 7.2 ounces and 5.4 inches, built in Grade 5 Titanium, and is tested on the same 20" 6.5 Creedmoor / 140gr Sierra GMM setup, metering 129 dB SE. It also opens up barrel compatibility a notch further than the 6.5, adding 18" standard magnums to the approved list alongside 16" short action magnums.

TENET's own framing is worth repeating here: [LIMITED] wasn't designed as a suppressor first — it was designed as a recoil mitigation device first, suppression second. The [LIMITED 7] carries that mission with a bit more mass and a bit more barrel flexibility than the 6.5, without stepping up to a full .30 caliber platform.

Choose the [LIMITED 7] if:

  • You want the versatility of standard magnum barrel compatibility, not just short action
  • You're comfortable with a slightly heavier, slightly longer can in exchange for that flexibility
  • You're still centered on 6.5/7mm-class cartridges

[LIMITED 30]: Built for .30 Caliber and Beyond

The [LIMITED 30] is the heaviest and priciest of the three at 7.7 ounces and $1,199.99, but it's also the only model in the lineup tested and specced around .30 caliber — 20" barrel, M118 Spec .308 ammunition, metering 129.5 dB with a claimed 24 dB SE reduction. Like the [LIMITED 7], it's machined from Grade 5 Titanium and clears both 16" short action magnums and 18" standard magnums.

If .308, .30-06, or other .30-cal platforms are what you're running, this is the model TENET built and tested specifically for that bore diameter and pressure profile — not a Creedmoor can pressed into service on a bigger cartridge.

Choose the [LIMITED 30] if:

  • You're shooting .30 caliber cartridges like .308 Win
  • You want the widest barrel compatibility in the series (short action + standard magnums)
  • You're prioritizing caliber-matched performance over shaving the last half-ounce

The Bottom Line

All three [LIMITED] suppressors deliver on the same core promise — recoil control first, real sound suppression second, without the weight and length penalty of traditional builds. The decision mostly comes down to what's on the end of your barrel:

  • 6.5 Creedmoor, want it as light and short as possible → [LIMITED 6.5]
  • 6.5/7mm-class cartridges, want standard magnum barrel compatibility → [LIMITED 7]
  • .30 caliber (.308 and similar) → [LIMITED 30]

Whichever you choose, all barrels must have a diameter of 1.030" or less, and wildcat cartridges should be verified directly with TENET before ordering. Full third-party and Pew Science testing data is still pending release — TENET has said that data is coming as independent labs complete their evaluations, so keep an eye on the site for updates once those numbers are public.
