The TENET LIMITED 30 is designed around a simple idea: combine the benefits of a suppressor with the recoil reduction and shot visibility of a muzzle brake.
Built from additively manufactured titanium, the LIMITED 30 measures 5.4 inches long and weighs approximately 7.7 ounces. The result is a compact, lightweight suppressor designed for hunting rifles where weight, recoil, and the ability to spot impacts all matter.
A Lightweight .30-Caliber Suppressor
The LIMITED 30 is designed for .30-caliber rifles, including cartridges such as .300 Win Mag, .300 PRC, .300 Norma, .300 Blackout, .30-30, and .308.
At 5.4 inches long and approximately 7.7 ounces, the LIMITED 30 is built to minimize the added weight and length at the end of a hunting rifle.
The suppressor is additively manufactured from titanium, allowing TENET to use internal geometry that would be difficult to produce through traditional manufacturing methods.
According to the video, the internal design also eliminates first-round pop by preventing oxygen from becoming trapped inside the suppressor. This allows for consistent sound reduction from shot to shot.
Designed Around the Hunting Experience
The concept behind the LIMITED Series came from the desire to combine some of the advantages of a muzzle brake with the benefits of a suppressor.
Muzzle brakes are effective at reducing recoil and muzzle movement, making it easier for shooters to stay on target and observe their own impacts. The tradeoff is that they can produce significant concussion and sound.
The LIMITED 30 was designed as a lightweight suppressor that could also work with a muzzle brake to provide additional recoil reduction while still retaining the benefits of suppression.
Performance Without the Brake
The LIMITED 30 can be used by itself with the included thread protector.
In the video, the suppressor was tested without a muzzle brake and was described as both quiet and effective at reducing recoil. Compared with several other lightweight .30-caliber suppressors tested on the same range, the LIMITED 30 was described as competitive in sound reduction while also providing substantial recoil reduction.
The video emphasizes that the LIMITED 30 is effective on its own before adding a brake.
Add a Muzzle Brake for More Recoil Reduction
The LIMITED 30 can be paired with either a single-port or dual-port muzzle brake.
The brakes are also additively manufactured and designed to redirect gases to the sides and upward rather than downward. This helps prevent gas from kicking up snow, dirt, or dust when shooting from field positions.
The single-port brake weighs approximately 1.3 ounces, while the dual-port brake weighs approximately 1.9 ounces.
The dual-port brake also adds some additional length to the overall setup.
Single-Port vs. Dual-Port
The two brake options are designed around different levels of recoil reduction.
The single-port brake provides additional recoil reduction while keeping the overall setup lightweight. The dual-port brake is designed for maximum recoil reduction and was described in the video as being particularly effective at minimizing muzzle movement and allowing the shooter to observe impacts.
With the dual-port brake installed, the video describes the recoil reduction as substantial enough to allow the shooter to watch impacts through the scope, even with lightweight magnum rifles.
Keeping the Rifle on Target
One of the primary benefits discussed in the video is the ability to maintain the scope picture after firing.
This can be especially useful when hunting with lightweight mountain rifles. Shooting from a bipod or an imperfect field position can make it difficult to control recoil, and a significant amount of muzzle movement can cause the shooter to lose sight of the target immediately after the shot.
The LIMITED 30 with a muzzle brake is designed to reduce that movement and make it easier to see where the shot went.
In testing with a lightweight 28 Nosler, the video describes the dual-port brake as providing extremely effective recoil reduction, with little muzzle movement and the ability to watch the bullet impact through the scope.
The same concept was demonstrated with a .300 PRC using 212-grain Hornady ELD-X ammunition.
Sound Reduction and the Muzzle Brake
Adding a muzzle brake changes the sound characteristics of the system.
The suppressor continues to perform its normal function, but the brake redirects gases and sound toward the sides and back toward the shooter. As a result, the system can sound louder to the shooter when a brake is installed.
The video specifically notes that the LIMITED 30 with a brake should not be viewed as an extremely quiet setup from the shooter's perspective.
At the same time, redirecting gases to the sides can reduce the amount of sound traveling downrange. The video explains that surrounding grass, trees, rocks, and terrain can help dissipate that sound before it travels farther downrange.
For hunting applications, this can provide an advantage when the goal is to reduce the sound signature reaching animals farther away while maintaining significant recoil reduction.
Built for Hunting and Field Use
The LIMITED 30 is particularly suited to situations where a shooter may need to make a shot from an unconventional position and immediately observe the result.
For a hunter, being able to maintain a sight picture after firing can be valuable when determining where a shot landed, particularly at shorter distances where there may not be enough time to reacquire the target after recoil.
The video describes the single-port brake as providing enough recoil reduction for most magnum hunting rifles, while the dual-port brake is intended for situations where maximum recoil reduction and impact visibility are the priority.
Installing and Indexing the Brake
The LIMITED 30 uses a locking collar to secure the brake.
After installing and tightening the suppressor on the rifle, the collar is rotated back toward the shoulder and locked into position. The brake is then installed onto the suppressor.
The brake needs to be indexed correctly. TENET includes a small 3D-printed leveling tool that fits into one of the brake ports.
The tool can be used to level the brake against the rifle's scope turret before tightening the locking collar.
Consistent Performance
Another feature highlighted in the video is the LIMITED 30's lack of first-round pop.
Because oxygen is not trapped inside the suppressor, the video describes the sound reduction as remaining consistent from the first shot through subsequent shots.
The internal design is described as more of a flow-through-style system, and the video notes that it is also expected to work well on AR-style rifles, although specific backpressure measurements were not provided.
A Compact Suppressor With a Different Approach
The LIMITED 30 is built around a combination of lightweight construction, sound reduction, and recoil management.
At approximately 7.7 ounces and 5.4 inches long, the suppressor provides a compact option for .30-caliber hunting rifles. Used by itself, it provides sound and recoil reduction while maintaining a lightweight setup. Adding either the single-port or dual-port brake allows the shooter to prioritize additional recoil reduction and the ability to observe impacts.
The result is a system designed around the needs of hunters and shooters who want more than simply reducing muzzle sound.
Always follow all applicable federal, state, and local laws related to suppressor ownership, use, transport, and hunting.
